PREDICTION.......
John McCain will get the republican nomination for president. I've said it since bush got re-elected. After asking him(McCain) to speak at th RNC (republican national convention) McCain looked very uncomfortable with saying what he said but I bet was promised the nomination if he did. Just wait and see. Comments?

In another day and age I might agree. McCain may get the nomination...I hope he does. But it won't be because anyone has promised it. After watching the results from New Hampshire, it seems clear that the whole process is wide open and unpredictable.
I agree with Chad. The bigger question I would also ask is how the hell is Huckabee still in it? McCain would have garnered even more support had he not shown his true right wing colors over the past few years. I would have voted for a McCain Powell ticket in 2004 for sure. In fact I probably would have voted for that ticket in 2000 since I cannot stand Lieberman at all.
Ok but lets look at the facts shall we. From the start of this whole thing McCain hasn't done so good. He was low on money, his main people from his campaign have left, he was pretty much out of the running from the get go. All of a sudden he wins New Hampshire?? Is it just me or does that not make any sense. Sure I liked him before he flopped for bush and said things he didn't seem to want to, but my question is why would he have done that if there was not something promised to him?
