OK first off nothing against Israel but can someone please tell me why we are giving them $30 billion in aid????????? Anyone.

I have often wondered the same thing. Especially when the median income of Israel is higher than that of many other countries including say Germay, yet we give them the most aid of any country in the world. http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/3581.htm

$30 billion? Freakin' asinine!

Israel doesn't even need it! It's not like people are eating bush meat and drinking out of rain puddles there.

We give Israel aid for the same reason we give aid to their Arab enemies...because its big business! Eisenhower warned us about the military-industrial complex, and he was a former general. We just don't listen.
